Life is about change.  History is the story of those changes.  Join a New Jersey journey back in time as we examine local history’s meaning and relevance to our present lives. A wide range of engaging topics will examined as we visit: an Industrial Era community, the highest point in the Pine Barrens, the site of tragic airplane crash, ruins of an 1800’s manufacturing community, and the site of the once proposed jetport. This is a 5-hour small group bus tour

The trip will be led by guide and naturalist John Volpa, Pinelands Adventures’ Education Director. John
has a long history of Pine Barrens exploration as a former environmental science teacher with Shamong Township Public Schools and an instructor with Pinelands Preservation Alliance’s summer Teacher’s Institute. An Evesham Township resident, John has also been the catalyst behind the creation of the Black Run Preserve in Evesham.
