The African savannah will come to life on Mainstage Center for the Arts’ stage in this inspiring, coming-of-age tale. When Rafiki gathers the animals of the Pridelands to welcome the newborn heir, Simba, son of King Mufasa and Queen Sarabi, the King’s jealous brother, Scar, schemes to gain back the throne. When Simba is tricked into leaving the Pridelands, he meets a warthog and a meerkat who keep him safe and happy for years until he returns to reclaim his kingdom.
