11 South Jersey Pick-Your-Own Farms

It’s called the “Garden State” for a reason! Bring your family, friends, or significant other to a local South Jersey farm this summer and pick your own fruits and vegetables! From blueberries and peaches to sweet corn and string beans, enjoy the peak of the summer harvest and get Jersey Fresh!

1. Conte Farms
299 Flyatt Road, Tabernacle

Bring your family and friends to spend a day at Conte Farms! Take a wagon ride into the fields to pick the finest produce of the season. Or, stop by the barn and you’ll find the freshest produce pre-picked for you. And don’t forget to stop in their bakery and try a warm apple cider doughnut, fresh baked pie, and more.

2. Duffield’s Farm
280 Chapel Heights Road, Sewell

Summer is the time when Duffield’s is in full swing! There is nothing better than their homegrown white sweet corn, field grown tomatoes and juicy peaches. And their homegrown strawberries come in just on the edge of spring and finishes in summer.

3. Emery’s Berry Farm
346 Long Swamp Road, New Egypt

Emery’s is a 60-acre farm that is dedicated to blueberries. Their blueberries are usually available from mid-June through July. Pick your own berries daily! They currently grown eight varieties of high-bush blueberries: Weymouth, Duke, Blueray, Bluecrop, Berley, Darrow, Chandler, and Elliot. Stop by the Farm Market for blueberries in pints, pies, muffins, scones, and more.

4. Fred + III
251 Odd Fellows Road, Pemberton, NJ

Starting mid-June, pick your own blueberries seven days a week at Fred + III! Strap a picking bucket around your waist and pick as many blueberries as your heart desires (picking buckets hold about six pounds of berries). Fred + III grows a number of blueberry varieties including Bluecrop, Elliots, Dukes, and Walcotts.

5. Haines Berry Farm
98 Sheep Pen Hill Road, Pemberton

Haines Berry Farm takes great pride in providing the best fresh blueberries. Their blueberry seasons runs from Thursday, June 28th until Sunday, July 22nd. They offer wagon rides to their well-manicured fields for “pick-your-own” blueberries. They also sell ten pound boxes containing loose, pre-picked blueberries. All blueberries are picked fresh daily.

6. Johnson’s Corner Farm
133 Church Road, Medford

Enjoy the peak of the summer harvest at Johnson’s Corner Farm! Take a hayride and pick your own blueberries, sweet corn, and peaches. Other summer crops such as string beans, Jersey tomatoes, potatoes, and zucchini will be added as they become available. Afterwards, stop by the bakery for pie, cake, doughnuts, bread, and side dishes. Johnson’s also has a Discovery Barnyard and Animal Farm that is perfect for children!

7. Lindsay’s Farm
436 Pleasant Mills Road, Hammonton

Blueberries are available at Lindsay’s Farm from mid-June through early August. This family farm has been operating since 1941, and has a relaxed atmosphere where you can commune with nature and harvest delicious fruits. Because they are a small farm, Lindsay’s cannot accommodate large crowds; it’s best to call ahead before visiting.

8. Mood’s Farm Market
901 Bridgeton Pike, Mullica Hill, NJ

Mood’s Farm Market specializes in pick your own fruit starting with sweet cherries in June and finishing with apples and pumpkins in October. They also have pick your own raspberries, blueberries, sweet plums, peaches, nectarines, blackberries, pears, and grapes throughout summer. Mood’s take pride in selling quality produce, and giving you a fun experience on the farm.

9. Robson’s Farm
33 Rahilly Road, Wrightstown, NJ

Robson’s Farm is a fourth generation orchard, fruit, vegetable, and cut flower farm. Bring your friends, co-workers, little ones, bridesmaids, or just yourself to walk up and down rows of pick your own specialty flowers.

10. Springdale Farm
1639 South Springdale Road, Cherry Hill, NJ

For over 60 years, Springdale Farm has been growing and selling fresh fruits and vegetables. They grow over 35 different fruits and vegetables, and carry even more. During the summer, pick your own strawberries and green beans, and be sure to visit their bakery to try some of their fresh apple cider doughnuts!

11. Stevens Blueberries
3 Pea Patch Road, New Lisbon, NJ

Grab a basket, tie it around your waist, and pick your own blueberries at Stevens Blueberries! They have a wide variety of berries including Weymouths, Stanleys, Elizabeths, and more. Started in 1951, half of their blueberry field still contains original crops to this day!
