It’s called The Garden State for a reason! We’ve handpicked 13 South Jersey Farms that have exciting Fall activities your whole family will love! From pumpkin and apple picking to corn mazes, tractor rides, petting zoos, and more – enjoy the peak of the Fall Harvest and get Jersey Fresh! 

1. Coombs Barnyard

20 Route 77, Elmer, NJ

Coombs Barnyard is run by sisters Jennifer Coombs-Kelly and Amanda Coombs-Shimp, who are the ninth generation on the family farm. The barnyard hosts a variety of fall family fun activities beginning at the end of September including Flashlight Fridays in their corn maze (not scary), and Barnyard Bashes which consist of hayrides, pumpkin picking, barrel train rides, and visits with the barnyard animals.

2. Creamy Acres 

448 Lincoln Mill Road, Mullica Hill, NJ

Nestled between hilly fields and dairy cow pastures, Creamy Acres has been around since 1968. Their opening day this season is Saturday, September 21st. Their fall festivities include wagon rides, pumpkin picking in the pumpkin patch, a kiddie corn maze and so much more! Looking for something a little edgier? Creamy Acres is also home to Night of Terror, New Jersey’s scariest haunted attraction which begins on September 20th and runs on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays through November 2nd.

3. Duffield’s Farm

280 Chapel Heights Road, Sewell, NJ

Every Saturday, take a drive out to Duffield’s Farm with your friends and family to enjoy all of their fall activities! Take a hayride through their scenic farmland and breathe fresh country air while enjoying a warm apple cider doughnut from their bakery. Starting in mid-to-late August, visitors will be able to pick your own apples. Pumpkins will be available a little bit later in the season.

4. Emery’s Berry Farm

346 Long Swamp Road, New Egypt, NJ

Emery’s is a 60 acre farm that is dedicated to growing blueberries, sunflowers, and pumpkins, in addition to two corn mazes with a Who-Dun-It Clue Game! Make sure you stop by their Farm Market and Country Bakery to pick up some delicious homemade pie!

5. Hill Creek Farms

1611 State Highway 45,  Mullica Hill, NJ

Are you looking for a fun, educational, and downright delicious outing with your family? Then stop by Hill Creek Farms! Their idyllic 24-acre local produce farm has two huge apple orchards with over 17,000 apple trees, plus an orchard of plums, Asian pears, and nectarines. Their fall season starts on September 9th with their Apple Kick-Off Festival and continues through Halloween. Guests are invited to take advantage of their u-pick orchards, stroll through the pumpkin patch and take advantage of their tented picnic area.

6. Indian Acres Tree Farm

111 Tuckerton Road, Medford, NJ

Enjoy a 20 minute wagon ride through the Indian Acres’ 150 acre preserved farm, stopping at the pumpkin patch halfway through to get a pumpkin and take a photo with the “Giant Inflatable Pumpkin!” Wagon rides are available 7 days a week and begin at the end of September and continue to the end of October. They also have barrel train rides, a giant playground, and two corn mazes – a 3 acre maze recommended for ages 7 years and under and a 5 acre advanced maze recommended for ages 7 and up.

7. Johnson’s Corner Farm

133 Church Road, Medford, NJ

Join Johnson’s Corner Farm for the perfect fall day! Take a hayride to harvest apples, pumpkins, popcorn, sweet potatoes, and broccoli. Pick your own apples begins on September 9th and runs through October 15th; pumpkin picking runs through September 9th through October 31st; sweet potatoes, broccoli, and cauliflower picking runs from November 1st through the 20th. They also have a Discovery Barnyard and Animal Farm that is perfect for children!

8. Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm

2691 Monmouth Road, Jobstown, NJ

Fall family activities at Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm include hayrides, apple and pumpkin picking, and a 5 acre corn maze! Every weekend in September and October, they celebrate with a fall festival. There’s even a Tomasello Winery Tasting Room at the farm for adults to enjoy! 

9. Maugeri Farms

1991 Oldmans Creek Road, Woolwich Township, NJ

Maugeri Farms invites you and your family to sit back and enjoy a tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch to search for your perfect pumpkins and gourds! The farm offers tons of children’s activities including a hay bale maze, treasure hunt and pumpkin decorating station, bean bag tosses, and corn hole games!

10. Mood’s Farm Market

901 Bridgeton Pike, Mullica Hill, NJ

Mood’s Farm Market specializes in pick your own fruit starting with sweet cherries in June and finishing with pumpkins in October. Apple picking hayrides are available in September after Labor Day while pumpkin hayrides are available in October and include drinking apple cider and eating apple cider doughnuts!

11. Pope’s Gardens

1146 Old White Horse Pike, Waterford Township, NJ

Pope’s Gardens is a very kid-friendly 10 acre nursery and garden center that features over 800 varieties of perennials. Visit their petting zoo every weekend in October, plus Columbus Day, to feed and pet baby animals! They have a wide variety of animals at the farm including Scottish Highland Cattle, Kathadin hair sheep, turtles, pheasants, turkeys, exotic birds, bunnies, and more! 

12. Russo’s Fruit and Vegetable Farm

Corner of Medford Lakes & Carranza Roads, Tabernacle, NJ

Farming has been a tradition in the Russo family for more than 75 years. Take a fun family adventure to the farm to pick your own pumpkins and apples! Pumpkin picking begins in mid-September and runs through October. Take a tractor ride to the fields and try to find your way out of the corn maze!

13. Springdale Farm

1638 South Springdale Road, Cherry Hill, NJ

Springdale Farm has been growing and selling fresh fruits and vegetables for over 60 years. From September through November, come for a visit and try to find your way out of their corn maze! You can even explore the maze at night in the dark during Flashlight Fridays or relax on a campfire hayride!
