Kelly Green Brewing Co.

A few years ago, if you strolled through the quaint Gloucester County town of Pitman, you'd have boticed there was neither a pint of beer to be sold nor a glass of wine to be bought, The historically dry town stayed sleepily dehydrated until a bold force of young visionaries arrived with a plan to bring some moisture to the air. Though still considered a dry town (but watch out; that might soon change with a liquor license to be put up for bid), Pitman now has an awesome watering hole thanks to Kelly Green Brewing Co.

Owners Justin Fleming, David Domanski, and Mike Tacconelli, have turned an old storefront office building into a small, but thriving, Eagles themed nanobrewery with an Irish twist. Note the green walls and framed Eagles Jersey intermingling with Irish style tiles and an awesome Kelly Green emblem. Take a seat at the hand crafted bar or the homemade benches and tables. You are sure to strike up a conversation with someone who could tell you a bit about the interesting history of this small town with a big heart, originally founded as a Methodist camp meeting; and as you sip your beer, bask in the knowledge that you are sipping a beer in a place with the distinction of being the first craft brewery opened in a dry town in the state of New Jersey.
