BURLINGTON CITY – Bridge Players Theatre Company, the Burlington City-based community theatre group, is proud to close its 43rd season with the rollicking revue, THE ALL NIGHT STRUT!, opening May 3, 2019.

Written by Fran Charnas and filled with jazz, blues, bebop and American songbook standards, THE ALL NIGHT STRUT! takes audiences through the Depression, World War II and the post-war boom in a two-act musical celebration of the 1930s and ’40s. The revue weaves together the work of legendary songwriters Hoagy Carmichael, Duke Ellington, Frank Loesser, Johnny Mercer, Cab Calloway, Jerome Kern, Fats Waller & Charlie Parker, spotlighting and capturing a beloved American era.  The show is directed by Diana Dohrmann of Willingboro (also Musical Director), with co-direction and choreography by Jessi Meisel of Sewell.

Cast members include Yvette Burroughs-Myles of Burlington, Sandy Irizarry of Beverly, Dave McGrath of Edgewater Park, Dyani Myles of Mount Laurel, Caitlin Reed of Pennsauken and Don Robbins of Willingboro, Shelby Loewenstern and Brian Rothman, both of Philadelphia.

Director Dohrmann says: “THE ALL NIGHT STRUT! highlights the superb vocal talents of our cast.  Spectacular musical arrangements range from fast-paced, energetic swing to rich, harmonic ballads.  We are having so much fun bringing these signature songs to the stage! And I’m so excited to direct a show written by Fran Charnas, a faculty member at my alma mater, The Boston Conservatory.”

All performances will take place at Broad Street United Methodist Church, 36 East Broad Street, Burlington, NJ Show dates and times: May 3, 4, 10, 11, 17 and 18 at 8 p.m., and May 5 & 12 at 3 pm.
