LIBERTY LAKE COMMUNITY DAY – GOES TO THE DOGS May 4th Event features Camp Fun, Community Groups, A Canine Course & Doggie Dive
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Bordentown, NJ)—The Liberty Lake Foundation, which has raised tens of thousands of dollars for children’s mentoring and growth programming, with host their 10th annual Community Day Saturday, May 4 from 11am to 3pm on the grounds of Liberty Lake Day Camp, 1195 Florence Columbus Road, Bordentown, New Jersey (Exit 52 off 295). The event, which is FREE to the public, marks the official opening of Liberty Lake for the 2019 season.
This year to celebrate Liberty Lake’s “ambassadogs” Cali & Rosie’s 5th birthday, dogs are invited to join the fun for a variety of special events.
Throughout the day, dogs and their humans will enjoy “fun in the sun” throughout the beautiful 60-acre facility. The volunteer-run event will feature a moon bounce, fishing, basketball, and gaga; along with special activities for a modest donation such as mini-golf, laser tag, archery, boating the Tower of Power rock climbing wall. Our four-legged friends can test their skills on the canine agility course and participate in the Doggie Dive For Five, a special polar bear plunge into Liberty Lake with birthday dogs Cali and Rosie. Many pet services and suppliers will also be hand with samples and special offers.
There will also be food vendors, including Centerton Chick-Fil-a and Europa Pizza, a bake sale, the famous tricky tray auction, and a spectacular silent auction featuring two exotic safari trips, with all proceeds benefitting the Foundation’s programming.
Since 2010, Liberty Lake Foundation (libertylakefoundation.org) has been providing a variety of programming to help strengthen, educate, and empower youth, including “camperships” to a number of local camps for children who otherwise may not be able to afford day camp, parenting workshops, team building events for non-profits and schools, and “Project Dress Up” designed to provide gently used prom dresses to kids in need. Community Day is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Foundation.
Parking and admission is FREE but dogs attending will require a “wag waiver” to be filled out by their owners. For more information on the event and volunteer opportunities, please call 609-447-3366 or visit libertylakefoundation.org.
