Symphony in C teams up with the Greater South Jersey Chorus for George Frideric Handel’s Messiah, one of the best-known choral works in Western music.  First performed on April 13, 1742 in Dublin, Messiah aroused unqualified rapture. Its success has remained undiminished ever since.

Symphony in C, formerly known as the Haddonfield Symphony, is a professional training orchestra based in Southern New Jersey. Founded in 1952, Symphony in C’s mission to train young professionals is similar to that of the Chicago Civic Orchestra and Miami’s New World Symphony. The orchestra’s home is The Gordon Theater on the campus of Rutgers–Camden University under the leadership of Music Director Stilian Kirov. In addition to performance at Rutgers-Camden, Symphony in C offer Chamber Music performance through its Virtuosi Series as well as a number of educational programs and performances for children and teens.
