Author Keith Gessen will be the special guest speaker at Congregation M’kor Shalom on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 3 p.m. He will speak about his book, “A Terrible Country”, a novel about Russia, family, love, and loyalty. This wise and sensitive novel asks what you owe the place you were born, and what it owes you.

Gessen will autograph copies of his book, available for purchase at the event, following his presentation. Admission is $10 in advance (by Thursday, February 28) and $15 at the door. Registration is available on the synagogue’s website www.mkorshalom.org. Refreshments will be served.

This event, sponsored by the Library and Adult Education Committees of Congregation M’kor Shalom, is in conjunction with the “Author on the Road” speaker series of The Bank of America Festival of Arts, Books, and Culture of the Katz JCC. It is open to the community.
