Chamber musicians from the Marlboro Festival in Vermont perform Brett Dean’s evocative Epitaphs. Dean was a member of the Berlin Philharmonic for 14 years before beginning his flourishing compositional career. In summer 2017, he participated at the Marlboro Music Festival as both violist and composer-in-residence. This group—which also features Grammy-winning violist Kim Kashkashian and three dynamic young string players—pairs Dean’s Epitaphs with Dvořák’s beloved Quintet in E-flat Major.

This program is made possible in part by funding from The Gloucester County Cultural and Heritage Commission at Rowan College of South Jersey, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
