The 2019 Whitesbog BioBlitz is set for May 18th! The registration table will be set up all day so feel free to drop in whenever and check things out!

The Whitesbog BioBlitz will be a thorough evaluation of the biodiversity of Whitesbog, a beautiful 3,000+ acre natural area in the New Jersey Pine Barrens. A bioblitz is a 24-hour event that focuses on identifying and quantifying as many species as possible in a specific place. In a bioblitz, the community and scientific experts work together to learn more about the local biodiversity. This serves as a unique learning experience while also generating valuable information for conservation and sustainability purposes.

this event is happening at Whitesbog Historic Village in Brendan Byrne State Forest. The bioblitz starts early on Saturday and runs all day with activities! Great day for kids, families, adults, bird-nerds, herp folks, science geeks, and all interested in creatures of the Pine Barrens!
