On May 14, 2016, the Woodbury Community Garden will hold its first Spring Fest event. Located on East Red Bank Ave in Woodbury, just a short walk or drive from the YMCA (located at 235 East Red Bank Avenue), Spring Fest will take place from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, with food and craft vendors, live music, outdoor and old-fashioned games, activities for children and families, and more. There is no admission fee. A rain date is set for May 15, 2016.  Amélie Harris-McGeehan, Founder and Director of the Woodbury Community Garden, states, “This is a fun-raiser, as much as it is a fund-raiser.” The day is devoted to enjoying the outdoors, as well as generating funding for the local food pantry run by the Greater Woodbury Cooperative Ministries (GWCM; www.gwcm.org). The Woodbury Community Garden provides fresh vegetables when harvests are abundant and dedicates plot space in the Community Garden specifically for the food pantry.
