It’s Officially Spring!

Snow…snow snow snow snow! I may not have the baritone of Bing but you catch my drift. Spring has arrived in South Jersey, believe it or not. Dandelion Release Party

Bellview Winery, Landisville

This time of year brings more than just a bud break in Bellview Winery’s Vineyard; it also brings a new vintage of Dandelion Wine that will be available to the public for tasting and purchase this weekend! Alongside their newest vintage, Bellview will be tasting some Dandelion Wines that have been aging in the cellar for quite some time so that guests can taste the dramatic changes in flavor that occur over time with this unique wine. Throughout the day, the winery will be holding several tours of the vineyard as the vines begin to wake up from their long winter slumber. Every Friday, Auburn Road Vineyards presents a five course food and wine tasting experience. Each week, there is a different entree selected by Auburn Road’s chefs exclusively featuring Severino’s pasta with sauces prepared in house, and each sauce is specially made to order. Springtime Surprise: Egg & Veggie Hunt

Coombs Barnyard, Elmer

Coombs Barnyard is bringing back their Egg and Veggie Hunt! Collected eggs will be empty but will be turned into the Easter Bunny for an EGGcellent and tasty surprise! 240th Anniversary of the Hancock House Massacre
March 24 & 25 | 10 AM – 4 PM
Hancock House, Salem

In March 1778, Salem County was invaded by a British foraging expedition sent from Philadelphia while local militia organized to defend their homes. At Quinton’s Bridge, the militia was barely able to fend off the British advance over the Alloway Creek and just three days later, Captain Sheppard’s Company, guarding the passage over Hancock’s Bridge, was surprised by the Queen’s Rangers and “massacred.” After this, resistance faded, leaving the county open to plunder. The British eventually left and Salem was at peace again, but residents would forever remember the trials and tribulations of those days. MORE>

Foral Canvas Workshop

A Whole New Light, Elmer

Welcome the start of spring by creating this spring floral canvas with professional artist and certified art teacher, Kimberly English. No experience necessary. Participants will use acrylic paints to create their own composition using shading and highlights. You may also choose to change the color of the table and flowers. Peter and the Wolf
