He has seen rock history unfold at some of its seminal moments – from the launch of the British Invasion to the birth of the Laurel Canyon movement a year later. An extraordinary Grammy Award® winning renaissance artist – and self-described “simple man” – Nash was inducted twice into the Songwriters Hall of Fame\, for his work with CSN and his work as a solo artist. \nTowering above virtually everything that Graham Nash has accomplished in his long and multi-faceted career\, stands the litany of songs that he has written and introduced to the soundtrack of our lives for nearly six decades. \nNash’s remarkable body of work began with his contributions to the Hollies opus from 1964 to ’68\, including “Stop Stop Stop\,” and “On A Carousel\,” among others. \nThe classic union of Crosby\, Stills & Nash (& Young) yielded songs that are lightning rods embedded in our DNA\, starting with Nash’s “Marrakesh Express\,” “Pre-Road Downs” and “Lady of the Island\,” from the first Crosby\, Stills & Nash LP and his iconic “Teach Your Children” and “Our House” from CSNY’s Déjà Vu. \nNash’s career as a solo artist took flight in 1971\, beginning with two landmark albums\, Songs For Beginners and Wild Tales which further showcased the depths of his abilities as a singer and songwriter\, yielding such favorites as “Chicago/We Can Change the World” and “Military Madness”. His latest effort\, “Now”\, was released worldwide in May 2023. \nGraham will be joined on stage by Todd Caldwell (keyboards and vocals)\, Adam Minkoff (bass\, drums\, guitars\, and vocals)\, and Zach Djanikian (guitars\, mandolin\, drums\, and vocals)\, performing favorites from across his sixty-year career. \nGraham’s set will be preceded by special guest and longtime friend\, Judy Collins. Collins has inspired audiences for over six decades with sublime vocals\, boldly vulnerable songwriting\, personal life triumphs\, and a firm commitment to social activism. She is esteemed for her imaginative interpretations of traditional and contemporary folk standards and her original compositions. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe only authorized ticket sellers for this performance are the  Scottish Rite Auditorium Box Office\, and etix.com. SUMMARY:Scottish Rite Concert Series: KILLER QUEEN
DESCRIPTION:Killer Queen\nA Tribute to Queen\nFeaturing Patrick Myers Freddie Mercury\n\nFriday\, September 27\, 2024 \nDoors: 7:00 pm/ Show: 8:00 pm \nTickets: $39.50\, $49.50\, $65.00\,  \nScottish Rite Auditorium Member Presale: Wednesday\, April 10 \n(available to Scottish Rite Auditorium Members only. Available for purchase on etix and at the Box Office) \nGeneral On Sale: Thursday\, April 10 at 10 am \nLead singer Patrick Myers said “It’s been an amazing journey. That first show changed my life. We thought our band would last maybe a summer at the most but it’s a very addictive thing performing these songs. The concerts grew and grew and we’ve ended up playing and selling out the same arenas that Queen played at their peak. It’s been quite a surreal ride. Becoming a regular performer at Red Rocks Arena in America is another highlight. The Beatles\, U2\, Springsteen\, and Dylan all played on that stage. It’s got it’s own kind of magic going on there” MAGIC YEARS Killer Queen’s first public shows were at London University\, following in the footsteps of the real Queen who had played their first shows there decades earlier. \nKiller Queen’s UK popularity grew to such an extent they soon secured a residency in London’s Strand Theatre attracting nationwide BBC coverage – the first tribute to have a show in the West End. \nThe band’s reputation continued to grow both in the UK and abroad leading to an awards ceremony in Leicester Square\, hosted by Suggs from Madness who presented them with the award for “Worldwide Best Tribute Band”. They also scored a number one hit when they were asked to recreate Queen’s harmonies for “The Real Life” with Fatboy Slim. \nBy now they were in demand in European arenas playing Ahoy and Forest National Arena where Queen filmed the concert set piece videos such as Hammer To Fall and Don’t Stop Me Now. Killer Queen then joined forces with Bjorn Again and The Bootleg Beatles for a Waverley Stadium show in Edinburgh. It was this performance that led to the band being selected to represent Queen in a re-staged tribute LiveAid concert held by Sir Bob Geldof in Malta. They performed with him at his arena charity concert to raise funds for young homeless people. Killer Queen set their sights on America including the awe-inspiring Red Rocks Arena in Colorado –\none of the country’s most prestigious venues. The Beatles\, Springsteen\, and U2 have all played there and the band is delighted it’s become a regular sell-out fixture on Killer Queen’s tour sheet. \nNot a Scottish Rite member yet?
