The Sister Chapel
A highlight of the gallery’s permanent collection is The Sister Chapel, a historic feminist art installation conceived in the late 1970s. Created as a collaborative installation during the height of the Women’s Art Movement, The Sister Chapel features a monumental collection of 11-foot-tall paintings celebrating iconic historical and mythical women (including Joan of Arc, Frida Kahlo, and Wonder Woman).
