Moorestown Theater Company Presents Academy Award winning “Frozen JR.”

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The award-winning, non-profit Moorestown Theater Company (MTC) will begin its 23rd Season with its Winter Stage production of “Frozen JR.” six times at First Methodist Church (FMC), 446 E. Camden Avenue. All six performances close to being sold out (with less than 25 total seats left), but two rows of seats will be added for each of the six shows, but will only be sold at the door beginning one hour before each ‘Curtain Time’. And audience members are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite character from the show.

In “Frozen JR.”, MTC’s 49-member Children’s Cast of 1st through 10th graders will set MTC History as one of them is the 10,000th overall Cast Member in MTC’s 23-year history with 238 shows to date! The Cast will bring to life the beloved characters from the 2013 Hollywood movie and 2018 Broadway musical, including sisters ‘Elsa’ and ‘Anna’, ‘Hans’, ‘Kristoff’ and his reindeer ‘Sven’, ‘Olaf’, ‘Pabbie’ and ‘Bulda’, ‘Oaken’, and all of the other residents of the kingdom of ‘Arendelle’. With music and lyrics by the husband and wife writing team of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and a book by Jennifer Lee, this show includes such great songs like “Do You Want To Build A Snowman?”, “For The First Time In Forever”, “Dangerous To Dream”, “Love Is An Open Door”, “In Summer”, “Hygge”, “Fixer Upper”, “Colder By The Minute”, and the Academy Award winning “Let It Go”. “Frozen” also won a second Academy Award for ‘Best Animated Feature Film’ in 2013, and the Broadway Musical was nominated for three Tony Awards, including ‘Best Musical’.

The Production Staff for “Frozen JR.” incudes Producers Mark Morgan and Carol Ann Murray, Director and Tech Director Jack Morgan, Vocal Director Jeffrey Wienand, Choreographer Brenna McQuoid, Costume Director Thom Sirkot, and Stage Managers Will Reid and John Wells.

“Frozen JR.” is the 25th production, and 22th musical, that MTC is performing in its new theater home in FMC’s Fellowship Hall since November 2022.

All Reserved Seat Tickets are $13 in advance at www.MoorestownTheaterCompany.org and $15 at the door. The musical will run approximately an hour and 30 minutes, including intermission, and it is appropriate for audience members of all ages. In fact, we encourage audience members to wear costumes of their favorite characters to the show!

MTC, which has announced all of the show titles for its 23rd Season in 2025, has received these recent awards:

– “Excellence In Dance Award” (our first after seven “Acting” Awards and two “Music” Awards!) at iTheatrics’ national Junior Theater Festival in January 2025

– “Freddy G Fellowship Award” was presented to MTC’s Founding Producing Artistic Director Mark Morgan at JTF ’25 in January 2025

– “40 Fabulous Females Award” was presented to MTC’s Founding Managing Director Carol Ann Murray at the Camden County Boat House in March 2025
