Take in the wonders of Mother Earth near Route 73 at either Palmyra Cove Nature Park or Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge. Hike trails and explore native habitats, visit the creatures of the Wildlife Housing Area, and check out the freshwater tidal cove. Take a dip at the pool or try out simulated surfing at Big Kahuna’s Water Park, or make a drive to Diggerland, the country’s only construction-themed amusement and water park. Walk around the Berlin Farmers Market and sift through trinkets and treasures. Wind down and end the day at Double Nickel Brewery or Amalthea Cellar’s Farm Winery with local wine and beer.

6. Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge

A 171-acre non-profit wildlife refuge, rehabilitation hospital & nature center on the edge of the New Jersey Pinelands. Visitors can hike the 1/2 mile trail around Cedar Run Lake to visit the Wildlife Housing Area, home to nearly 60 native residents. The Woodford Nature Center houses hands-on exhibits along with live snakes and turtles in their Reptile Room. The overall mission of Cedar Run is to serve as a community resource and emphasize the importance of protecting and enhancing healthy ecosystems for all.

Founded in 1976, this award-winning winery is one of few left to truly handcraft wines from harvest to bottle.
