Merchantville Historical Society presents: an evening with Alan DeValerio
Merchantville Historical Society invites you to an evening with Alan DeValerio, former butler at the White House.
What would it be like to attend a White House function? Have you ever wondered about the Family Quarters? Alan will tell us his first hand experiences from the three administrations in which he served, as well as the stories form some of the people that he worked with, such as Eugene Allen, on whom the 2013 movie The Butler was based.
There will be a display of many of the White House artifacts (menus, programs, Christmas Cards, personal photos, etc) that he as collected. Alan’s book will be available for sale and signing at the end of the program.
