Moorestown Theater Company Celebrates Black History Month With “A Celebration Of Black Voices”
The Moorestown Theater Company (MTC) will celebrate ‘Black History Month’ with “A Celebration Of Black Voices” over the next two weekends at its Main Street Performing Arts Studio on these dates and times:
Saturday, February 21 @ 7 PM
Sunday, February 22 @ 7 PM
Friday, February 27 @ 7 PM
Saturday, February 28 @ 7 PM
Besides going from one performance at last year’s event to four performances this year, “A Celebration Of Black Voices” will have several small scenes performed in between the songs, including Channel 6abc’s and MTC Trustee Rick Williams playing the ‘Chauffeur’ in a scene from “Driving Miss Daisy”.
MTC Trustee and Director Dr. Jocelyn Mitchell-Williams invites you to ‘Pay What You Can’ for this night of incredible live performances and complimentary food and drinks, with all proceeds going to scholarships for children to participate in MTC productions. You must register to attend any of the shows (which you can do by visiting www.MoorestownTheaterCompany.org). ‘Opening Night’ (this Saturday, February 21st) has sold out, so reserve your tickets now if you want to attend one of the other three nights.
You can make it a great night out in Downtown Moorestown by dining at a Main Street restaurant before the doors open at 6:30 PM at our Performing Arts Studio doors at 5 W. Main Street. You may also ‘BYOB’ of your favorite adult beverage to enjoy!
