Moorestown Theater Company Presents Academy Award winning “Frozen JR.”

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The award-winning, non-profit Moorestown Theater Company (MTC) will continue its 23rd Season with its Winter Stage production of “Frozen JR.” with the final four performances at First Methodist Church (FMC), 446 E. Camden Avenue, on these dates and times:
Friday, March 21 @ 7 PM (‘Black’ Cast)
Saturday, March 22 @ 2 PM (‘Black’ Cast)
Saturday, March 22 @ 7 PM (‘Gold’ Cast)
Sunday, March 23 @ 2 PM (‘Gold’ Cast)
The complete run of six performances is sold out, but two rows of seats (32) will be put on sale one hour before each curtain time and can only be purchased at the door. All Reserved Seat Tickets are $15 at the door. The musical will run approximately an hour and 45 minutes, including intermission, and it is appropriate for audience members of all ages. In fact, we encourage audience members to wear costumes of their favorite characters in the show!
“Frozen JR.” is the 25th production, and 22nd musical, that MTC is performing in its new theater home in FMC’s Fellowship Hall since November 2022. With this production, FMC moves into second place for the most productions performed by MTC (trailing only the 78 performed at Hope Community Church). In 2024, MTC presented 66 performances of 13 productions by 526 performers, and in 23 Seasons, MTC has presented 1,075 performances of 238 productions by 10,038 performers.
In “Frozen JR.”, MTC’s 49-member Children’s Cast of 1st through 10th graders will bring to life the beloved characters from the 2013 Hollywood movie (that resulted in two Academy Awards) and the 2018 Broadway musical (that received three Tony Award Nominations), including sisters ‘Elsa’ and ‘Anna’, ‘Prince Hans’, ‘Kristoff’ and his reindeer ‘Sven’, Olaf’ the snowman, hidden folk ‘Pabbie’ and ‘Bulda’, ‘Oaken’, and the other residents of the kingdom of ‘Arendelle’.
The lyrics and music and lyrics by the wife-and-husband duo of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, and book by Jennifer Lee, includes great songs like “Let The Sun Shine In”, “Do You Want To Build A Snowman?”, “For The First Time In Forever”, “Dangerous To Dream”, “Love Is An Open Door”, “Hygge”, “Fixer Upper”, and the Academy Award-winning “Let It Go”.
The Production Staff for Frozen JR. incudes Producers Mark Morgan and Carol Ann Murray, Director and Technical Director Jack Morgan, Vocal Director Jeffrey Wienand, Choreographer Brenna McQuoid, Costume Director Thom Sirkot, and Stage Managers Will Reid and John Wells.
MTC, which has posted all of the show titles for its 23rd Season in 2025 on its website, has received these recent awards:
– January ’25: ‘Excellence In Dance’ Award presented to the Cast of “Alice In Wonderland JR.” at the iTheatrics Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, GA (our first ‘Dance’ Award, and 10th overall, after seven ‘Acting’ and two ‘Music’ Awards)
– January ’25: ‘Freddie G Fellowship’ Award presented to MTC’s Founding Producing Director Mark Morgan at the iTheatrics Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, GA
– March ’25: ‘40 Fabulous Females’ Award presented to MTC’s Founding Managing Director Carol Ann Murray by Donnelly Media at the Camden County Boat House
