Quilt Show: Every Quilt Tells a Story
Celebrating 41 years of fun and friendship, the South Shore Stitchers Quilt Guild is presenting their biennial quilt show from October 17 through 19 at the Upper Township Community Center. The address is 1790 Route 50, Tuckahoe, NJ (use 08270 for GPS, which will say Woodbine but we know better!).
Come admire over 200 handmade quilts and other unique pieces that were made by this talented 100-member group. Special exhibits include the Embroiderer’s Guild of America (EGA), The Appliqué Society, Quilts of Valor, Ryan’s Case for Smiles, plus samples of the charity work the guild produces, such as Comfort Quilts, adult clothing protectors, wheelchair and walker bags, fidget quilts for dementia patients and children with learning disabilities.
Food will be available, and over a dozen vendors will offer their wares for your shopping pleasure. In addition the guild hosts a “Boutique Table” with handmade items plus books, magazines and other treasures that are donated by the guild members, as well as the Country Store – a consignment area where guild members offer their handmade items and supplies for sale.
Admission is $10 per day for people who are older than 12 years old, or get a multi-day pass which is good for all three days of the show for $15.
Show hours are Friday & Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm, Sunday 11 am to 3 pm.
