Swedesboro Juneteenth Festival

FreeThe area’s best Juneteenth Festival with African dance, live bands, gospel choirs, Colored Troop Soldiers, puppets, vendors, food trucks, and more. Held at Kingsway High School, Lot F, 172 Garwin Rd., Woolwich Township, NJ. Come experience the heroism of escaped slaves and Colored Troop Soldiers by touring Mt. Zion A.M.E. church, an Underground Railroad site, adjacent to the event stage. Marvel at some of the best African-American musicians, singers, actors, and dancers in the Tri-State area. Don’t miss Harriet Tubman and other notable figures of the era. Tours and programming begin at 12:00. New for 2024, is a Gospel Festival, beginning at 4:00, to celebrate the 225th Anniversary of the Underground Railroad Site. This event is free and open to the public.
