Devil’s Creek Brewery
Legend has it that years ago folks in the area of Devil's Creek Brewery spotted a funny, flying hooved creature with bat-like wings, horns, and the head of a goat, flapping its way over Newton Creek in Collingswood, New Jersey. The Jersey Devil, popular in New Jersey folklore, is said to have been spotted in the towns surrounding Newtown Creek and Cooper River. Though a sighting can't be promised at the craft brewery, aptly named Devil's Creek Brewery, one thing is absolute; you will certainly spot more than a few tasty beers.
Devil's Creek Brewery opened on May 21, 2016 in the dry town of Collingswood, New Jersey. Owners Anthony Abate and Kathy Ganser took the happy gamble to open this main street location after Anthony had success homebrewing and won several awards.
The wonderful vibe of this brewery is felt to the soul with its smiling, welcoming staff and happy patrons. Handcrafter chandeliers sculpted into works of art from reclaimed wood, join the handmade tables and bar built from a roof rafter gathered from a razed 1870's era Philadelphia church. You might want to pray for guidance in selecting a beer at the bar, but there will be no need because the brewery is filled with kind patrons who will help you decide which beer to try and staff who are friendly and knowledgable.
