100-Year-Old Del Buono’s to Open Haddon Township Pastry Shop Ahead of Summer of Love Festival

Two-Day Media Opportunity Includes Friday Ribbon Cutting and Saturday Grand Opening Celebration During Haddon Township’s Summer of Love Music Festival

Haddon Township, NJ (August 25, 2026) – Haddon Township will welcome a new addition to its downtown business community this weekend as Del Buono’s Pastry Shop celebrates the opening of its new Haddon Township location during the company’s 100th anniversary year.

The celebration begins Friday, August 28 at 12 noon with a ribbon-cutting and VIP event featuring Haddon Township Mayor Randall Teague, followed by a public Grand Opening celebration on Saturday, August 29 in conjunction with Haddon Township’s Summer of Love 60’s-70’s-80’s Music Festival.

Founded in Camden in 1926, Del Buono’s celebrates 100 years in business this year, bringing a century of South Jersey history to its newest location in Haddon Township. The new Pastry Shop also marks a homecoming for Al DiBartolo, executive pastry chef of DiBartolo Bakery and winner of numerous Food Network competitions. DiBartolo Bakery operated in nearby Collingswood for more than 50 years before closing in 2023.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 29 – GRAND OPENING + SUMMER OF LOVE

The celebration continues Saturday as Del Buono’s officially welcomes festival-goers during Haddon Township’s Summer of Love Music Festival, taking place from 2-10 p.m. along Haddon Avenue between Strawbridge Avenue and Cooper Street.

Del Buono’s will celebrate throughout the day with free cream donuts, a neighborhood favorite and legacy, along with giveaways, T-shirts, a Grand Opening special and other surprises for festival-goers.

Just steps away, Summer of Love will bring eight hours of live music to Haddon Avenue along with a beer garden, food trucks, a Kids Zone, Dance Dome, inflatables and more.

Saturday’s live music lineup includes:

  • 2:00-3:15 p.m. – Invasion 65
  • 3:30-4:45 p.m. – Dancin Machine
  • 5:00-6:30 p.m. – Priceless
  • 6:45-8:15 p.m. – Boy Band Project
  • 8:30-10:00 p.m. – B Street Band
