Albert Music Hall – 50th Anniversary Celebration
August 17 @ 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm EDT
$1 – $12.Come and celebrate with us! This year the Albert Music Hall is celebrating its 50th Anniversary. That’s right, this year it will be 50 years since that very first “Sounds of the Jersey Pines” show in the Waretown Auction building. We’re holding a special extended show with a phenomenal lineup to celebrate.
On August 17th, doors will open at 5pm. At 5:45pm there will be opening remarks in which we’ll share some of the stories from the Hall’s 50-year history. At 6pm, the music will start and continue until 10pm. The opening act is Libby Prison Minstrels who will get the audience warmed up with some sing-along traditional American songs. They’ll be followed by Fish & Whistle, Billy T Midnight, Elaine & The Cimarron Sky Band, Cranston Dean, and then Redbird & Raven. To close the show we have Josh Werner & Friends with a 1 hour set from 9-10pm. We’re hoping to have a few more surprises for the show, so stay tuned for further updates.
As with our regular shows, tickets will be $6 for adults and $1 for kids under 12.
Our Snack booth will have Kielbasa & Kraut, Cheeseburgers, and Thumann’s Hot Dogs as well as hot and cold drinks and a delicious selection of cakes, cookies, and pies. Come have dinner with us!
There will be a 50/50 drawing. Our gift booth is stocked with 50th Anniversary mugs, hats, glasses, t-shirts and sweatshirts as well as a variety of CDs, cowboy hats, and interesting gifts. Throughout this year, we’re selling tickets for our anniversary raffle in the foyer to be drawn in December – the first prize is a Gibson Earl Scruggs Banjo with a $4,500 value.
As always, our Pickin’ Shed will be open throughout the show, and it now has air conditioning! Feel free to bring an instrument and jam!
Come and join us for a fun celebration. Here’s to another 50 years of great music!
