Healthy HeARTS Festival

Appel Farm Arts & Music Center will host Healthy HeARTS Festival, a celebration of arts and wellness to launch their new year-round Environmental Arts and Wellness program. On Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 10am-4pm, this day-long family friendly festival will begin with a 5k race and 1 mile walk on and around Appel Farm’s campus, and continue with sustainable art-making, wellness activities, craft vendors, live music, food trucks, and local wine and beer. Prior to the 5k race, Jess Brock-Pitts of Enlighten Well will be leading a pre-race warm up. Post race, runners will receive a custom-made wooden Appel Farm finisher’s medal and can join in a cool-down yoga class.

Some of the ongoing art activities during the event include: cyanotypes using sunlight to create art with flowers, a mindfulness activity with watercolor mandalas reusing book pages to create art, creating a musical instrument out of sustainable materials, and much more.
