Come enjoy “A Poultry Tale” with the Moorestown Theater Company as it presents “Honk! JR.”!
The award-winning Moorestown Theater Company presents its 80th ‘Summer Stage’ Musical (and 263rd overall production) on these dates and times in the air-conditioned First Methodist Church (FMC) at 446 E. Camden Avenue in Moorestown:

This musical, based on the traditional story, “The Ugly Duckling”, by Hans Christian Anderson, with original songs by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe (who wrote the new songs for the Broadway production of “Mary Poppins”), is appropriate for audience members of all ages! It will be performed by a 35-member Children’s Cast!
Reserved-seat tickets for this story about ‘Ugly’, the swan who doesn’t look like his duckling ‘siblings’, and the rest of the residents in a local barnyard by the water’s edge, are available at www.MoorestownTheaterCompany.org, or at the door at these prices:
- $18 online and $20 at the door for the front three rows
- $13 online and $15 at the door for the remaining rows
- Tickets are available on line until three hours before ‘curtain time’ (so we can print seating lists for the box office), but they will still be available at the door starting one hour before ‘curtain time’.
While the address for First Methodist Church is at 446 E. Camden Avenue, it’s easier to enter the FMC parking lot from Kings Highway or Pleasant Valley Avenue. Please enter the building through the door near the large flag pole in the parking lot.
The full-length, adult version of “Honk!”, which won the 2000 Olivier Award for Best New Musical in London, sadly has never been produced on Broadway. The Moorestown Theater Company performed “Honk! JR.” as its first Summer Stage musical in 2006, and has used the song “Warts And All” as its Summer Stage Theme Song every year since. (Summer Stage Alumni in the audience are invited to join the current Cast on stage to sing this Theme Song prior to every final Summer Stage performance.)
