Military Comedy Night

Gathering material from a wealth of life experiences, Jose takes audiences on the rollercoaster ride that’s been his life. Born in Cuba and deported because his father was a political prisoner, he came to the U.S. at a young age. Growing up with a hard-working and quirky Cuban family brought loads of funny moments everyday. He made them proud when after high school he was accepted to the U.S. Air Force Academy. He became an Air Force officer, is an accomplished aviator, and is a veteran having served in Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. He’s been all over the world and has even been shot at in two countries.

His comedy career started out in New York and Philadelphia, getting on stage anytime he could. He performs all over the world now and is an audience favorite for his ability to make deportation, and life threatening moments hysterical.

Dewayne White is a DC-based standup comedian and a combat-wounded Army veteran who served in the Army for 23 years. His humor is drawn from his unique take on his military experience, his life as a husband and father, and the general craziness of life.

He has worked alongside amazing comedians like Josh Blue, Sal Vulcano, Mark Normand, Dale Jones, Tony Woods, and many others.

Dewayne is also an instructor for the Armed Forces Arts Partnership’s Comedy Bootcamp, a 6-week crash course for servicemembers, veterans, and their family members.

First come, first serve seating. Entrance opens 45 minutes prior to showtime. Price goes up $10/ticket on day of show.
