Moorestown Theater Company Presents “Cinderella, Youth Edition” (The First Of Six MTC Summer Musicals)

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The award-winning, non-profit Moorestown Theater Company (MTC) will perform “Rodgers’ & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Youth Edition” six times at First Methodist Church (FMC), 446 E. Camden Avenue, on these dates and times:

“Cinderella, Youth Edition” begins the busiest portion of MTC’s 2024 Season, as it will present 38 performances of six different musicals in the 54 days between July 1 and August 23. These next summer musicals include: “Grease, School Version”, “Fiddler On The Roof”, “Willy Wonka JR.”, “Rent”, and “Beauty And The Beast JR.”. You can purchase tickets for these remaining shows at www.MoorestownTheaterCompany.org. In the fall, MTC will bring back both “Scenes & Songs” (our sixth version) and “Elf JR.”.

In “Cinderella, Youth Edition”, MTC’s 39-member Children’s Cast will bring to life the beloved characters from the 1957 television musical, including the title character, Prince Christopher, the King and Queen, the Stepmother and Stepsisters, and the Godmother.
This Rodgers and Hammerstein score includes great songs like “The Prince Is Giving A Ball”, “In My Own Little Corner”, “Impossible”, “Ten Minutes Ago”, “Stepsisters’ Lament”, “A Lovely Night”, and “It’s Possible”, among others.

This musical has the following Production Staff: Producers Mark Morgan and Carol Ann Murray, Director William Reid, Vocal Director Melanie Mendel, Choreographer Brielle Olivieri, Costume Designer Thom Sirkot, Properties Designer Amy Evangelisto, and Tech Director Jack Morgan.
“Cinderella, Youth Edition” is the 17th production, and 15th musical, that MTC is performing in its new theater home in FMC’s Fellowship Hall. All Reserved Seat Tickets are $13 in advance and $15 at the door. They can be purchased online at www.MoorestownTheaterCompany.org or at the door one hour before curtain time.
