Moorestown Theater Company Presents Oscar & Tony Award-Winning “Fiddler On The Roof”

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The award-winning, non-profit Moorestown Theater Company (MTC) will perform the Academy Award and Tony Award-winning musical, “Fiddler On The Roof” eight times at First Methodist Church (FMC), 446 E. Camden Avenue, on these dates and times:

“Fiddler On The Roof” continues the busiest portion of MTC’s 2024 Season, as it will present 38 performances of six different musicals in the 54 days between July 1 and August 23. These next summer musicals include: “Willy Wonka JR.”, “Rent”, and “Disney’s Beauty And The Beast JR.” (after opening with “Cinderella, Youth Edition” and “Grease, School Version”). You can purchase tickets for these remaining shows at www.MoorestownTheaterCompany.org. In the fall, MTC will bring back both “Scenes & Songs” (our sixth version) and “Elf JR.”.
In “Fiddler On The Roof”, MTC’s 51-member All-Ages Cast (from 6 to 76) will bring to life the beloved characters from the 1964 Broadway musical and the 1971 Hollywood movie, including ‘Tevye the Milkman’, his wife ‘Golde’, ‘Lazar Wolfe’, and ‘Yente the Matchmaker’, as well as the rest of the residents of the Russian village of Anatevka.
The musical, with a score by Jerry Bock (music) and Sheldon Harnick (lyrics) and a book by Joseph Stein won nine out of 10 Tony Awards in 1965, including ‘Best Musical’. It includes classic songs such as: “Tradition”, “Matchmaker”, “If I Were A Rich Man”, “Sabbath Prayer”, “To Life”, “Miracle Of Miracles”, “Do You Love Me?”, and “Sunrise, Sunset”.
This musical has the following Production Staff: Producers Mark Morgan and Carol Ann Murray, Director Mark Morgan, Vocal Director Mark Pinzur, Choreographer Lizi Baldwin, Costume Director Thom Sirkot, and Stage Manager Joe Barcia.
“Fiddler On The Roof” is the 19th production, and 17th musical, that MTC is performing in its new theater home in FMC’s Fellowship Hall. All Reserved Seat Tickets are $22 for Adults and $18 for Seniors / Students in advance (and $25 and $20 at the door).
