Moorestown Theater Company Presents Tony-Award-Winning Musical: “Disney’s Newsies”

MOORESTOWN, NJ — The award-winning, non-profit Moorestown Theater Company (MTC) will perform “Newsies” six times at First Methodist Church (FMC), 446 E. Camden Avenue, on these dates and times:

Thursday, May 30 @ 6 PM (‘Black’ Cast)

Friday, May 31 @ 7 PM (‘Gold’ Cast)

Saturday, June 1 @ 7 PM (‘Gold’ Cast)

Sunday, June 2 @ 2 PM (‘Black’ Cast)

Saturday, June 8 @ 7 PM (‘Black’ Cast)

Sunday, June 9 @ 4 PM (‘Gold’ Cast)

In “Newsies”, MTC’s 54-member Children’s Cast (plus two Adults and several Cast Members’ Dads playing ‘Goons’), will bring to life the beloved characters from the 1992 Disney Movie and the 2012 Tony-Award winning Musical, including Jack Kelly, William Pulitzer, and Governor Teddy Roosevelt.

This Tony Award winning ‘Best Score’ includes great songs like “Santa Fe”, “Carrying The Banner”, “The World Will Know”, “Seize The Day”, “King Of New York”, and “Once And For All”, among others.

This musical has the following Production Staff: Producer & Director Mark Morgan, Producer & Vocal Director Carol Ann Murray, Choreographer Kelly Peterson, Costume Designer Thom Sirkot, Properties Designer Amy Evangelisto, Tech Director Jack Morgan, and Stage Managers John Wells and Maddy Foler.

“Newsies” is the 16th production, and 14th musical, that MTC is performing in its new theater home in FMC’s Fellowship Hall. All Reserved Seat Tickets are $13 in advance and $15 at the door. They can be purchased online at www.MoorestownTheaterCompany.org or at the door.
