Our February 9 House Concert will be a celebration of Latin American music, featuring folksong, jazz, mambo, and original compositions.
A native of Puerto Rico, Magdaliz Roura (vocals/guitar) is a 25-year veteran of music performance in the Philadelphia area. Her group is dedicated to interpreting a variety of folk and traditional music genres from Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela, and beyond.
Allison Strong is a 2023 New Jersey State Council on the Arts Music Composition Fellow, a recipient of the Garden State Film Festival Rising Star Award and the Images/Imágenes Performing Arts Award from Rutgers. The proud daughter of Colombian immigrants, Allison recently released her second album, Brontë, featuring original music in English and Spanish.
