The Venerable Lama Losang Samten will create a Tibetan sand mandala in Rowan University’s Discovery Hall (201 Mullica Hill Rd, Glassboro, NJ) during a weeklong event from April 7-11th. Sponsored by the Department of Geology, this collaborative event will bring in elements from across Rowan University including Art, History, Asian Culture, Science, and Wellness.
Several collaborative events will take place during the week in conjunction with this core event.

All members of the community are invited to participate in the creation and destruction of the Mandala of Healing. Experience the ephemeral beauty of nature and ourselves.
The event will commence with an opening ceremony on Monday, April 7th at 9:30am. On Friday, April 11th at 3:30pm, a closing ceremony will include the ceremonial destruction of the mandala and attendees will receive a portion of the sand. Remaining sand will be returned to the earth in a river.
